Greetings and Welcome to the official website of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, Florence Alumnae Chapter.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, an organization founded on the campus of Howard University on January 13, 1913, has continuously focused on the constructive development of its members and public service with a primary focus on the Black community. Since its inception on May 30, 1952 the Florence Alumnae Chapter has continuously carried on the legacy of the sorority’s 22 founding members. Committed to sisterhood, scholarship, service and social action, many of the programs address the national organization’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health and Political Development and Awareness. With over 190 members, the Florence Alumnae Chapter focuses on the Florence, Darlington, Timmonsville, Pamplico and Johnsonville communities.
It is with great excitement that as we move forward, building upon the ideals of our sorority, we use this acronym to guide our thoughts and actions towards each other and our community in a sisterly manner:
